Containment

She tries to get out
free herself
from this walls,
this body,
that contains her,
holds her prisoner.

From time to time
she almost succeeds.
screaming
and shouting
hurting this body
making the heart
feel like it’s drowning.

I can feel her
gasping for air
scratching at me,
while I try
to suffocate her
back to the darkness
My body contains.
